Product Description

Coldplay's second studio album, "A Rush of Blood to the Head," released on August 27, 2002, under Parlophone Records Limited, is a captivating journey through the band's evolving sound and introspective lyrics. Clocking in at just over 54 minutes, the album features 11 tracks that showcase Coldplay's signature blend of melodic guitar work, soaring vocals, and thoughtful songwriting.

The album opens with "Politik," setting the tone for the introspective and politically charged themes that run throughout. Standout tracks like "In My Place" and "The Scientist" highlight the band's knack for crafting memorable melodies and poignant lyrics. "Clocks," with its iconic piano riff, has become a staple in Coldplay's live performances and a fan favorite.

"A Rush of Blood to the Head" also delves into more personal territory with songs like "Green Eyes" and "Warning Sign," offering a glimpse into the band's emotional depth and vulnerability. The album closes with "Amsterdam," a reflective and melancholic track that leaves a lasting impression.

Coldplay's second album is a testament to their growth as musicians and songwriters, offering a rich and rewarding listening experience for both new and longtime fans.

This 2025 Reissue LP is pressed on 140g Clear vinyl.

  • Tears of Audio Bliss

    5 out of 5 stars

The audio quality is so amazing it brings tears to my eyes. There's total quiet in between tracks & this is probly one of the finest pressings I've got in my collection.

  • Factory Defect, Skips Terribly

    2 out of 5 stars
    qmqqvap936 December 2025United States🇺🇸

Arrived bent from the factory, it sounds terrible when it isn't skipping.

  • Target's Bent but Decent Sound

    4 out of 5 stars
    y-jwaw953125 October 2025United States🇺🇸

I picked this up from Target, and it was bent (I'd advise against buying records there, their storage leaves much to be desired, you never know if they'll be warped or not). The sound's decent though, didn't pick up on much pitch variation or anything like that; no hiss or anything. Honestly, the record sounds pretty good to me, if a bit squashed. The mix can get a bit muddy at times, especially with more instruments in the mix, Chris's vocals sometimes getting lost a bit (which is also an issue on streaming). Casual listeners won't notice a thing though, and I'm no sound expert so take what I said w/ a grain of salt.

  • White Vinyl Brilliance

    5 out of 5 stars
    sn_xuut18 October 2025United States🇺🇸

Fantastic pressing. Deep dynamics and as clean as it gets. Adore the white vinyl, perfect for this album.

  • Ecorecord Quality, Short Runtime

    4 out of 5 stars
    Ghatdozadaho11 October 2025United States🇺🇸

The runtime at 54min on one side feels a bit too squished for my taste. Wish there was a better version out there. But as an ecorecord, it's fantastic. No pops or clicks, and the sound is clean.
