I was super excited for this, but it's such a letdown. The quality control is shockingly bad. It's all marked up (even the black polyline inside!!), scratched, full of fingerprints, has awful spots with no fill, and to top it off, it's warped and crooked too. Truly a masterpiece of failures 😂😂
Received the copy, but it's the EU pressing. Discogs mentioned it as a USA pressing. How do we deal with this? It's just the EU version, perhaps there isn't even a US pressing, just a US release. I'm sooooooo disappointed! The price has been skyrocketing after the Discogs top #2 seller featured it in the newsletter.
This is an amazing show, I'm totally into every bit of it.
I decided to give this a go on a whim (I've been feeling under the weather lately and needed a lift). I later found out before it arrived that it was unofficial and all that, plus it's colored vinyl with paper sleeves (you know the deal if you're picky like me and chasing flawlessness!). So, my hopes weren't high. HOWEVER, this is surprisingly great. Right off the bat, both records looked clean, and after a vac wash on the Pro-Ject, it sounds absolutely fantastic. Amazing detail, definition, and not too much bass, no harshness on the cymbals. I'd love to know who mastered this and where it was pressed ('EU'—guessing it was top-notch?). I'm using a very critical Rega Ania Pro, P6 TT. I haven't noticed any significant crackles, pops, or skips. You get to see a side of Eddie here before Jeremy, where he talks to the crowd about abortion rights, which is very moving given today's climate! Well worth the money, this record, and I'm amazed at how good it sounds despite the lack of info on the sleeve. The crowd participation is lovely too, not overdone but just right in my opinion. Lovely...
Just a few days after wrapping up their inaugural U.S. tour, Pearl Jam made their way to New York to perform stripped-down versions of tracks from their debut record, Ten, which was well on its way to becoming a standout rock album of 1992. Now, for the first time on vinyl, you can experience all seven songs from their MTV Unplugged performance, featuring classics like “Jeremy,” “Even Flow,” “Alive,” “Black,” and “State Of Love and Trust.” This is rock history spinning on your turntable. Just like the MTV Nirvana Unplugged in NY, this is an essential addition to any record collection. The bass in the mastering is solid but doesn't overpower the vocals or other instruments. The separation is still top-notch, and wow, what a live performance! It takes me back to when rock was truly rock, and these are classics you've got to have, just like Nirvana's Unplugged in NY, "Smells Like Teen Spirit," "Use Your Illusion" 1 and 2, etc. Grab this record on 180g vinyl and let this recording transport you back to 1992 at the Kaufman Astoria Studios in NY.
