Holy cow, this thing sounds incredible on my setup, it's got a dynamic range like you wouldn't believe, the production quality is top-notch. And the sleeve? It's absolutely stunning with that embossed design.
Amazing sound & crisp pressing here. Johnson's voice is like he's right there in your lounge. C.O.D really shows off the quality of this record.
what a shame, NO reviews to be found! i'll be the first. this album absolutely destroys from beginning to end. awesome tracks (they all kinda blend together a bit but i ain't complaining). loud and clean pressing. did spot some squishing and the instruments aren't as distinct or the sound as wide as some of my 70s LPs so not sure what the 80s did for LP tech but something here felt a bit off. not as bad as a modern day Amazon LP though, by any means.
AC/DC's got some seriously underappreciated albums, and this one's right up there. Sure, Back in Black shifted more copies, but this record's got a killer sound. The first track's a straight-up anthem, and the rest? Pure rock'n'roll brilliance. AC/DC never quite hit these riffs again, but they sure set the standard for the future.
Once you hit the third track on either side, the quality takes a dive, especially quick on side one. By the time you reach 'Snowballed,' you can't make out a single word, it's just a mess of noise. Edit: Comparing it side by side with Spotify, it's only a bit worse, still bad, but you can't understand him in the digital version either, he was probably drunk while singing this.
