Touching, engaging, and immersive sound quality. The pauses are distinct, and there's no scratching noise. Kudos again to the Parlophone team! P.S. One downside: the ultra-low frequency gusts are quite pronounced on this vinyl—perhaps an issue with the vinyl's weight? I didn't catch that flaw initially. The woofers in my speaker system are about to leap off, so I'm only giving it four stars!
Absolutely amazing sounding cassette. It's got that warm, even tone. Everything just sounds so real and natural.
Incredible audio quality. Great range of dynamics. Highly recommended. A+++. In my humble opinion, it outperforms the 2018 reissue.
The 2018 PSB reissues are truly impeccable. The standout is the mastering done by Tim Young - this is the way to remaster tracks from the 80s/90s. Harshness is mostly tamed, though not entirely gone - I didn't notice any problems on ‘Only The Wind’. The packaging is spotless, with robust covers and inner sleeves. A top-notch release, and deserving of a spot in your vinyl collection.
This album by the Pet Shop Boys is my all-time favorite and it still sounds amazing after 28 years. The vinyl remaster is a massive improvement over my 2001 CD remaster, and I genuinely can't find anything wrong with it. It's the best version of this fantastic album I've ever heard.
