I concur regarding the noise issue. This particular pressing does have some noise, as you'd anticipate from GZ, but once the music kicks in, the noise becomes quite unnoticeable. Miles Showell did an outstanding job with the mastering.
I've been incredibly fortunate with these Orange label Capitol reissues across several Beatles albums. The audio quality is consistently breathtaking.
If I rate this any lower, folks might get upset. There's some solid tracks here, but also a few duds.
Audio signal is way too low, leading to a poor signal to noise ratio. The bass is way overdone, causing a boomy sound. I had high hopes for this, thinking tech would've improved since '69. But sadly, this so-called "remix" on the hype sticker doesn't deliver.
Received this today, and I must say, it's impressively clean. It's flat and silent, no noise at all. The sound is fantastic, the appearance is top-notch, and of course, the music is superb. I just wish there was a bit more to it, like some extra info—maybe something similar to the US mono box set albums...but it's still a gorgeous color, and that alone is worth it. It somehow reminds me of the green vinyl French edition.
