  • Flea Market Vinyl Gem

    5 out of 5 stars
    gincbpoaDecember 29, 2025United States🇺🇸

I didn't shell out 2K, but I did spend 5 bucks on this record at a summer flea market. And let me tell you, it's an amazing sound! The bass is huge, the guitars are fiery, and the midrange is so detailed. It's an incredible listen! [Tech specs in my profile]

  • UK First Pressing Better

    Mijuhoz9laDecember 25, 2025United States🇺🇸

This version is alright, but don't waste your cash on it. Just grab the UK first pressing instead!

  • Mixed Quality, Great Sound

    5 out of 5 stars
    ydakxpaDecember 23, 2025United States🇺🇸

Upon receiving my copy, I must say the quality control of this pressing is a bit of a mixed bag. I noticed some smudges and scuffs, especially around the outer edges, along with a bit of white dust from the cardboard inner sleeves. But after giving each side a thorough cleaning, I must admit, I'm truly impressed! Not a single skip. There are some tiny crackles at the end of Side 4, but that's also the quietest track on the album. Apart from that, it's almost completely silent. This is the 2016 James Guthrie analogue remaster, and it sounds fantastic. I might take issue with that ever-present Guthrie kick drum, but hey, this is Floyd at their rock and roll best. Maybe I just got lucky, but I'm really loving the sound of this version.

  • Best CD Sounds Rare

    5 out of 5 stars
    CoqjyTBCDecember 15, 2025United States🇺🇸

this cd sounds the best I've ever heard...also seems to be hard to find...

  • Best Sounding Astonishing Masterpiece

    5 out of 5 stars
    MuulxjivolvDecember 3, 2025United States🇺🇸

I own variant 1 and a ton of other CD versions of this album, particularly the early ones. This one's the best sounding by far. 'Astonishing' doesn't even begin to cover it. It's like I'm listening straight from the master tapes. Never have the vocals sounded so crisp and natural. You pick up details that are lost on other pressings. The dynamic range is out of this world.
