Product description

King Crimson's 2003 release, The Power To Believe, is a masterful exploration of progressive rock, art rock, symphonic rock, and psychedelic rock. This 51-minute album, released on 24 February 2003 via Discipline Global Mobile, is a testament to the band's innovative spirit and musical prowess.

The tracklist is a carefully crafted journey, with each song blending seamlessly into the next. From the opening notes of 'The Power To Believe (Pt. I)' to the final strains of 'The Power To Believe (Pt. IV)', King Crimson takes listeners on a sonic adventure. With tracks like 'Level V', 'Eyes Wide Open', and 'Elektrik', the band showcases their ability to craft complex, intricate music that is both challenging and rewarding.

The album's use of intros and interludes, such as 'Facts of Life (intro)' and 'Facts of Life', adds depth and texture to the overall narrative, while songs like 'Dangerous Curves' and 'Happy With What You Have To Be Happy With' demonstrate the band's ability to balance heavy riffs with more subdued, introspective moments.

Throughout The Power To Believe, King Crimson's signature blend of technical virtuosity and creative experimentation is on full display, making for an album that is both a showcase for the band's individual talents and a cohesive, unified work. With its diverse range of styles and moods, this album is a must-listen for fans of progressive rock and anyone looking to experience the unique sound of King Crimson.

This 2019 Reissue Remastered 2LP set is pressed on 200g vinyl.

  • Power in Track 10

The most power I feel is in track 10, The Power to Believe III

  • Powerful Audio, Great Album

    5 out of 5 stars
    Fajsa9447May 1, 2025United StatesπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

The audio quality is fantastic, and I couldn't detect any background noise. I concur with other reviewers that the sound is quite metallic and powerful, but that's the intended style of the album, and it sounds amazing to me! Highly recommended. P.S. I rated 5 stars for the content's excellence, but I'm not particularly fond of or confused by the bonus tracks on Side C, as the album's final track should be The Power To Believe pt. IV and it ought to conclude with that. However, the bonus tracks on Side D, taken from the Happy With What You Have To Be Happy With EP, are a great addition to the album since they don't disrupt the flow of the other songs.

  • KC's Final Masterpiece

With an artist of such great caliber and vast experience as KC, there's always the drive to innovate, to captivate, to amaze the audience. Just like when I first listened to this CD... One of King Crimson's final masterpieces. Absolutely adore it! 5/5
