This copy has a crisp, dynamic sound. The instruments are well-detailed and Freddie's vocals are clear in the mix. I'm happy I got this one. It's got some fantastic tracks like "I Want It All," "Invisible Man," and "Breakthru." There's a few show tunes and some 80s production, but it's definitely worth a spin.
From a visual standpoint, my copy appears to be in good shape, but it's plagued by a persistent, annoying noise that kicks in right from the lead-in groove and doesn't let up until the very last second of side B. I'm going to give it an ultrasonic cleaning and see if that helps. If it doesn't, this record could turn out to be a real letdown for anyone looking to buy it.

This isn't my top pick from Queen's discography, but it's got a fair share of solid tracks. As for the sound, it's a significant upgrade over the 2011 remaster, no doubt about it.
Let me tell you, skip the Hollywood records versions, these 'half speed masters' are way better. I've been purchasing them and haven't been let down yet. The vinyl is so quiet, I actually forget I'm playing a record, and I'm not joking. The sound is amazing, rich and clear with no hissing or echo or any surface noise! In my opinion, don't bother with an original, these pressings are highly recommended. God save the Queen!!
