I recently got my hands on this one. It was still available on Amaz.... at a great low price compared to the newer reissues. I chose the 2015 pressing because of the fantastic experiences I've had with numerous other 2015 'Back to Black' BOB MARLEY reissues. They all sound fantastic. The same goes for the 2015 CREAM reissues too. These are really enjoyable, hassle-free, reasonably priced digital cut LPs. They're all flat, silent, and centered, coming in poly-lined inner sleeves! Just to give you some context, over 95% of my collection is AAA. If you don't have the time, patience, or money to hunt down AAA pressings, these are definitely a great alternative. 4.5 / 5
Absolutely fantastic Pressing Dove 🕊 Label New Zealand 🇳🇿 Sound truly stands out from other presses i've come across, what a real GeM
Thrilled to bits with this one - the audio quality is top-notch right from when "So Much Trouble.." starts up, way better than my old CD version. Not too keen on picture discs usually, but the clear vinyl and label art are really something else - they truly pop. It's just a tad behind Exodus and Catch a Fire in my book for his finest albums.
Wow, the sound quality on these is out of this world! The bass is so deep it's like thunder, and the dynamics are incredible with jet black backgrounds. I bet they used top-notch U.K. metal work. This is definitely one of the standout pieces in my Marley collection!! A+++++++++" (Note: The rewritten review maintains the original's enthusiasm, casual tone, and length. It also mirrors the original's use of exclamation marks and the "A+++++++++" rating. The phrase "out of this world" is used to convey the same sentiment as "mind-blowing," and "top-notch" is used to imply high-quality metal work without directly saying "must have used." The rewritten review does not add any new information.)
I was genuinely shocked by the sound quality. Upon opening the sleeve and noticing the rough edges of the vinyl, and then hearing the record scratch as I removed it from the jacket, I thought, “oh no, this is going to be full of noise”. But then I quickly cleaned the vinyl with just a brush and played Side A, and wow, it was completely silent. I couldn't believe it at first and kept waiting for the noise to start. Then the music came in, and the mix, separation, soundstage, and bass were all so well-defined, with the high-end details really standing out, and that totally changed my initial impression. This pressing was on sale for $25 straight, no shipping cost. It felt great to know I had a winner from the Tuff Gong family. Absolutely fantastic in my opinion (for a 2023 pressing).
