Well…….. it's a bit on the cheap and flimsy side, but meh, it's alright I suppose.
Mine has the same typos too, and it came with tons of inserts
The audio quality is just as fantastic as the CD, so if you're a fan of Reload, you won't regret getting it. :D \m/
This is an excellent pressing, much like most of the 2001 Vertigo releases. In my opinion, it's a tad better than the 1997 EU MPO version. It might be on par with the 1997 US Elektra release. Actually, this is the second and final Vertigo pressing of Re-load. The packaging is great, just like the 1997 EU version, and it's hard to spot the differences on the labels.
I purchased this a few years back directly from their website and it's definitely more than just a decent pressing, no doubt about it. My copy isn't warped and I haven't had any problems with skipping or playback. I admit I'm a bit fanatical about deep cleaning all my records, even new ones, before playing them, so maybe that's why I haven't run into the same playback issues others have mentioned. I pretty much ignored Load/Reload when they first came out, only developing a new appreciation and respect for both albums fairly recently. Seeing Metallica experiment with a more glam sound, at least by their usual standards, was disappointing to me at the time. But now I can say I was mistaken and these albums are seriously awesome and f****** kick ass. Perspective is everything. As always, the mixing on this album is top-notch. It's punchy, thick, with a powerful low end and a smooth top end, the mids aren't cluttered and everything sounds clean and clear. AT540ML.
