Found this edition at my neighborhood record shop. The pressing is absolutely amazing. Michael's singing is crystal clear, and the guitar sound is just incredible.
The back cover of Club Edition lacks a barcode. What an amazing album!
The remaster is fantastic, and while the remix isn't terrible, it might not hit the spot for those who've been listening to these tracks since day one. They've certainly boosted Stipe's vocals in the mix. My copies are nice and quiet, though the remix album's paper sleeve has a few scuffs. I'm really enjoying it overall, but if you're a purist, you might want to grab just the single album remaster instead ;)
This re-mastering is not up to par. The sound stage is lacking, with everything centered and sounding squeezed.
Walled off with bricks, this remaster is a complete and utter disaster! The only upside compared to the original is the packaging, which is actually decent. But the music? It's like someone drained all the life out of it. It's dull and lifeless. Stay far, far away from this stinker, it's a total goat blower!!!
