I'm truly let down, I've got both editions, the newer red see-through one and this so-called *deluxe* version, and they both sound identical. I genuinely thought the black one would be superior... all of the greatest hits songs that are on this album sound better on the greatest hits than on any of these releases. The only benefit I can see in the black one over the red is the noise, the black one has almost no noise and the red one has more pops and such, but any other difference is practically nonexistent. I should know, I recorded them both with audacity and compared them, I also recorded the greatest hits songs with audacity and they sound better.
The one I have has a slight bend but the sound is absolutely amazing. Also, that blue hue is really crisp.
Hands down, this is the most amazing blink-182 album they've ever created, END OF STORY.
Just put the black deluxe next to this one, and honestly, it's almost identical, but I gotta say, this one's got more surface noise. I reckon virgin vinyl's just way better for pressing. But man, the greatest hits tracks on this? They're light-years ahead. If you can, do a side-by-side, trust me on this.
