Whether a review is positive, negative, or neutral, we always publish it. However, we screen every review to ensure it is authentic and free of profanity. These checks happen automatically, though a human occasionally steps in. We never pay for reviews.
Phish's Soldier vault puts out a decent, but not exceptional, audio performance. You can't argue with how amazing this classic show is, but PJ keeps up its habit of disappointing us with their official releases. It feels a bit lackluster to me overall. The imaging is good, but the drums, in particular, sound a bit buried. I'm thinking they picked this show because there was a bootleg version floating around recently, so maybe they're trying to beat the bootleggers to the punch. Anyway, Phish does a lot of things right, but sadly, audio quality doesn't seem to be one of them.
Watch out for fakes! There are phony versions on red and black vinyl being sold on Ebay and discogs. Don't pay too much if it's not the marbled green color.
