Incredible mastering and pressing, but even more impressive is the setlist. By just 25 years old, Neil had an amazing collection of songs, and he performed them flawlessly...This might be the best solo live album I've heard by any artist...Unlike 'Live at the Cellar Door', this one focuses more on acoustic guitar than piano, both are fantastic, it's just down to your personal taste.
Highly suggest grabbing a copy if you're a Neil Young enthusiast. This concert is SO much alike to 'Live at Massey Hall.' Both this concert and Massey Hall were just 46 days apart. This album, December 4th 1970 and Massey Hall is January 19, 1971. I was looking for Massey Hall and then I found this and it has the same exact vibe. Again, if you are a Neal Young fan. Get a copy if you enjoy Neil Young live!
I'm totally on board with those who've said this is an amazing quality release, the sound is just fantastic and the songs are awesome
This disc is remarkably hushed, with barely any surface noise. The piano truly shines here. I'd say it's the finest rendition of "Nowadays Clancy Can't Even Sing" on any live album.
The live audio quality is absolutely phenomenal, with outstanding mastering and pressing. It's as if I was right there in Carnegie Hall.
