The quality of my copy is remarkably crisp and powerful for a "demo" style track. Being the initial pressing, it's truly impressive. The engineering work is excellent, and I'm really pleased with the overall production from this first attempt with Chuck in charge.

To me, this is the definitive version to have and enjoy. The audio quality is fantastic and it's still reasonably priced. It might not be my top pick from my all-time favorite band, but it's a decent listen every now and then. I genuinely admire the direction they were taking with their music back then, but Chuck Mosley's vocals aren't the best...maybe it's just because I'm such a massive Mike Patton fan, but that's how I feel. I do think Chuck's vocals improved after he left the band on other recordings though. But all in all, this is a fantastic package, with great sound quality and, most importantly, a very nice pressing overall. Thanks, Billy Gould and Koolarrow, for putting this together.
The CD's mastering is pushed real high. I put it in a DAW and the peaks are always maxing out. Doesn't seem over-compressed to me though.
