This isn't the top-notch pressing out there, but it sounds really good considering what it is. I don't get the cassette comment someone made earlier, it's crisp, and the bass is nice, even if it could use a bit more.
I've got nothing bad to say, it sounds absolutely incredible, and that extra disc is a really nice touch. You always hear the same old stuff about this album, no matter the pressing, and I reckon they just don't dig the original production/mix. Some folks seem to mix it up with a poor pressing or bad mastering job. Fact is, the low end is just less busy 'cause Billy's bass has a ton of upper mid that gives it that "tin-can" vibe, but this press ain't skimp on the bottom (or Bottum) where it matters! A top-shelf release, no doubt about it!
This version is amazin'. I copped the Promo one and it's fire.
This vinyl copy is incredibly silent, with no noticeable distortion and absolutely no warping. I put it up against Tidal MQA through my BS Node, and let me tell you, these MOV reissues are seriously impressive. Streaming sounds decent but lacks the punch and depth of the vinyl. The drums and cymbals have so much more presence, the bass hits harder, guitar riffs are grittier, and Patton's vocals are crystal clear.•Pressing: 4.5Album: 9.22 stuckintherunout
This record appears to be quite scarce and it sounds fantastic on vinyl. The pressing is top-notch.
