Fantastic pressing here, there's a bit of faint background wooshing on disc 1 but other than that, it's nearly flawless. The sound is incredibly crisp, there's hardly any surface noise, and the packaging is absolutely gorgeous. I'm thrilled that this masterpiece finally got the top-notch pressing it's always deserved.
In my opinion, this is Bjork's finest work. Truly stunning - the words and melodies blend seamlessly in every track, creating their own unique world. It's the mark of extraordinary music - it inspires fresh ideas and emotions.
I've observed that some of the most scorching, top-tier vocal highs can sound a smidge hissy, but that's only at full blast and on a stellar setup. It's not even remotely bothersome. There's a minuscule amount of noise, but, once more, it's only detectable at high volumes on a quality system. The diverse sound environments here, filled with their wide range of sounds, tweets, and pitches, come through incredibly vividly, and there's a ton of "life" in this pressing. Truly a breathtaking pressing and well worth the hunt.
I've observed that some of the highest, most intense vocal frequencies can sound a smidge harsh, but this only happens when the volume is cranked up and you're using a top-notch system. It's not distracting at all. There's a minuscule amount of noise, but again, it's only noticeable when the volume is up on a great setup. The various soundscapes here, with their wide range of sounds, chirps, and tones, come through incredibly vividly, and there's so much "life" in this pressing. It's an absolutely breathtaking pressing and well worth seeking out.
This album is by far my absolute favorite. No contest. It's in a league of its own.
