Whether a review is positive, negative, or neutral, we always publish it. However, we screen every review to ensure it is authentic and free of profanity. These checks happen automatically, though a human occasionally steps in. We never pay for reviews.
I gotta say, my version appears to have a tad more bass, but it's not overpowering or unpleasant. It sounds fantastic to my ears. I'm over the moon to finally have this on vinyl, and even more thrilled that this pressing is top-notch.
After facing relentless allegations of racism, Morrissey supposedly admitted a few years post-release that "Vauxhall And I" served as a prelude to his retreat from the public eye, stating, "I sensed this impending end while making the album." Cornered and with a purpose, Morrissey delivers another standout in his discography. Vauxhall is nothing short of flawless, with lyrics as sharp and impactful as ever. The most apparent radio-friendly tracks are upfront, but the whole album takes you on a journey through Morrissey's settling-of-scores territory. And when Speedway concludes with Morrissey crooning, "All of the rumors keeping me grounded, I never said they were entirely baseless... I've always been true to you in my own twisted way," he once again leaves us both bewildered and entertained. A bit of trivia: The album's title is a nod to Bruce Robinson's 1987 film "Withnail And I," where the character Uncle Monty remarks, "As a youth, I used to weep in butcher's shops.
beautiful, peaceful album. grab it while its available. His finest work. nicely pressed
My album sounds amazing. It's real quiet and no pops at all. The album is fantastic and this version is a total hit.
Alright, so now this one's a typo and 1046 folks gotta inspect the font on the tags? Why not just let this listing stay as is and make the other one the typo?
