This vinyl is absolutely worth the cost, no matter the price. The sound quality is fantastic — the instruments and vocals are top-notch. The rendition of We'll Let You Know is incredible... who would've thought a song about rowdy sports fans could be so uplifting?! I don't mind the emphasis on Your Arsenal tracks; it all comes together in a satisfying way for me. From Seasick to Jack the Ripper... pure perfection. I also find it funny that people are still arguing about what "glamorous glue" means...
I wasn't too keen on the original CD, so I was hoping this live version would change my mind, but no such luck. It's not awful by any means, it just doesn't have that special something you'd hope for in a live album. It's not something I'd toss out, but I can't see myself playing it often. I do agree with the other comments about the cover photo though. The original wasn't great, but the age mismatch is just a strange choice.
Definitely worth it just for the live take on Jack the Ripper. Maybe Mozz's finest B-side? A tiny bit of warping, and I mean tiny. Nice and quiet press. Sounds great to me." (Note: "Mozz" is preserved as it is, assuming it's a nickname or abbreviation the user intended. "Slight warp" is rephrased as "tiny bit of warping" to convey the same meaning. The casual tone and enthusiasm are maintained, and the sentence structure is kept simple and direct, mirroring the original.)
Can someone explain what 'biovinyl' is? Is it like, something you can eat or what?
Rhino is as terrible as ever, my copy came with a messed up spine. 8 bucks to ship a record should cover wrapping it in bubble wrap before boxing. Sooooooooooo disappointed. LMAO
