This record truly delivers audiophile-grade sound. I don't particularly care whether it's digitally or analog mastered. I've encountered fantastic and terrible examples from both camps. There's so much more to great sound than just the mastering process. As for the music, it's really quite excellent. There isn't a standout track that grabs you right away, but rather, it's an album that grows on you with each listen. It's crafted with such care and those guitar solos are to die for! Music 8/10; sound quality 9/10. The recording and mastering are top-notch. The pressing is alright; the jacket feels a bit cheap. The Heavy Wing is absolutely worth your time and money!!
Great pressing indeed. The sound quality on this coloured LP is truly impressive, it's like being in the studio with the band. Only wish it came with a gatefold cover.
Complete silence on the surface, no saturation. The mastering is excellent, it's balanced from the highs to the lows. It seems like today's vinyl records should be as well-mastered as this one. As "Chickentender" says, avoid coloured vinyl. I hope their new album, out on 14 October, sounds just as good.
Translated automatically,This is an awesome album. It's a regular black vinyl pressing. I'm really impressed by it.
This indie shop red edition truly delivers; the soundstage and depth are fantastic. So glad they nailed a top-notch final product.
