The sound quality of this record is absolutely stunning. I'm pretty sure it's a full analog cut. The dynamic range and soundstage are immense. My copies were flawless and completely free of any noise. I just wish more contemporary records were recorded and mastered in the same way. It genuinely brought back memories of how incredible a band can sound when they're jamming together in a room.
Wow, this album sounds incredible, perhaps a tad too much on the highs, but still really good. The Chili Peppers have outdone themselves with this one! Turntable: Project Debut Carbon, Cartridge: Ortofon 2M Red, Amp: Yamaha A-S1000, Speakers: Focal Aria 906
The vinyl is smooth and silent. The audio quality is fantastic. Plus, the poster that came with it is top-notch.
I was on the fence about picking up the Target exclusive version since the copy of Unlimited Love I got from Target earlier this year was all messed up and bent so bad I had to swap it out. But man, am I stoked I went for this one. Perfectly flat pressing, zero surface noise, mastered to perfection. The production is simply divine. Adore the artwork. Can't praise it enough.
Mine was a bit loud in certain parts and, like others mentioned, it says Germany on the labels but "Made In Canada" on the back cover. What's up with that? It would've been great if they included paper and poly sleeves, especially considering the price. There are so many different versions out there, I wish I knew there was a Gatefold black vinyl version—I would've gone for that. Other than that, I love the addition of the horns and Flea's awesome bass on this one. Plus, yeah, great guitar solos—"Carry Me Home" is an RHCP's blues tune.
