This album just can't quite grab me, as the songs unfortunately only trickle along. There are a few exceptions like the title track, "Currywurst", or "Kino", but that's about it. On the positive side, the phrase "Together with you, the tomatoes can happily fly" finally appears in a song, namely in "Total egal". Also, the Asbach Uralt advertising slogan "When so much good happens to you" is used in "´n Bombenlied", but then comes the much too short joke song "Currywurst". Many people may not know that this song originally comes from Diether Krebs. The three following songs are not worth mentioning. In "Kino", schunkel melodies meet deeply sinister lyrics: Here, Herbert Grönemeyer sings about a person who turns the violent films in the "cinema" into reality to experience the feeling of killing. The song "Darf ich mal" is about a shy person who finally dares to speak to their beloved, accompanied by a very good harmonica solo by Anselm Dorwarth. And that's it, as even the piccolo trumpet interlude by Markus Stockhausen in "Vergiß es, laß es" can barely convince. Perhaps the weakest album in the early phase of Herbert Grönemeyer.
