What's going on here? The best way to describe this CD is with Herbert Grönemeyer's earlier album title. Moreover, the title of this CD somehow hits the nail on the head. His lyrical prowess is still there, but the music style? It's not real dance, not real drum 'n' bass (except for 'Stand der Dinge'), not electro, and certainly not proper keyboard usage to be heard. This album is truly only bad. What particularly stood out to me was that the first single 'Bleibt alles anders' only grew on me after the twentieth listen. That's never happened with Herbert Grönemeyer before. Shame, shame, shame. I understand that he can't always produce masterpieces like 'Bochum', 'Chaos', and 'Ö', but he should perhaps leave this sort of thing in the future. So: 1 point for the album title, 1.5 for the lyrics, and 0.5 for 'Ich dreh mich um Dich' being a cheap knock-off of 'Halt mich' (he really doesn't need to do that).
