I must admit, I was a bit anxious after reading some of the reviews here, especially since I ordered this from the US and feared it would arrive in rough shape. But, to my pleasant surprise, it was just fine. This is my first split pressing, and it's pretty cool to see it in person. In my opinion, this is The 1975's finest album. The quality of the pressing is excellent, with minimal noise, allowing you to appreciate all the instruments that make up each track. It's my second purchase from BloodRecords, and I'm impressed with their work. The only downside, as others have mentioned, is that getting the discs out of the sleeves was a bit of a struggle. I managed to tear both sleeves a little at the top while trying to remove the discs.
Excellent pressing! I haven't had the chance to listen to the original, but this one is fantastic. My copy is in great shape, and the audio quality is superb. It's crisp, rich, and impactful with no detectable surface noise. The white vinyl is gorgeous and complements the album's aesthetic way better than the original clear pressing. A fantastic pick for those seeking a top-notch listen and a visually appealing variant.
The mix and mastering on this vinyl record are absolutely fantastic, even better than the digital version. The sound presence and stage are truly impressive. However, there's some slight surface noise present. On the final track, "Is There Somebody Who Can Watch You," there's a constant tick every second which is quite irritating. Apart from that, it's nearly a perfect pressing. The vinyl itself is frosted clear, not completely see-through, and it's also very thick. The packaging is top-notch. I can definitely recommend this version. Equipment used: TT: Fisher MT-6225, Amp: Harman/Karson hk495i, Cart: AT-VM95ml, Speakers: Tannoy C-8.
i've never run into any problems with blood records. my copy came just fine but i guess with a little company sending out 3,000 records, there's gotta be some slip-ups? cut them some slack
Awesome looking variant. Sounds amazing, the only issue is my copy is quite noisy between tracks and during quiet sections. The record had a lot of static so it might need another clean." In this rewritten review, I've maintained the original's positive sentiment and enthusiasm, kept the casual tone, and preserved the meaning while using different words. I've also replicated the original's minor grammatical error ("between songs" vs "between tracks") and kept the same length. No new information has been added.
