The initial one I got had terrible sound quality, lots of surface noise and popping. Swapped it out, and the next one sounds fantastic. Appears to be a luck of the draw with these pressings.
My transparent vinyl version had a slight bend and needed some straightening out (VinylFlat + Groovy Pouch, medium heat for 80 mins), but it sounds really good. It's an improvement over my other copies of their albums, which had too much hiss that wouldn't go away with cleaning. This album is way more mainstream than their last few. It's got that late 70s, early 80s vibe with disco, synth-pop, and even a bit of folk rock. In my opinion, it's the best thing they've put out in ages.
I’ve been using this press for a few days now and I'm really happy with it. It's smooth and quiet when pressing (just a tiny hiccup on A1), and the color is absolutely stunning, perfectly matching the album's vibe.
The 1975's cassettes have consistently been a bit of a curiosity, and these Being Funny ones are no different. Since they dropped, they've been a bit hit or miss. Some play just dandy, while others sound all wonky. The packaging and lyric book are adorable, and the cassette itself works like a charm, but it's not exactly a must-have for every fan out there. As someone who's been collecting their stuff for ages, it was a pretty easy decision to grab, and the price isn't too shabby for what you're getting! But unless you're a super dedicated fan or collector, you might wanna skip this one.
Audio quality is fantastic, crisp and super distinct, no probs here!
