Amazing collection of songs, a top-notch compilation indeed. 1975 keep proving they're among the finest live bands out there, and this sounds fantastic across 3 discs.
The sound quality is really impressive, with the live digital recording offering a great mix right from the start; the crowd noise is well-balanced, and even the spoken parts are clear. It's akin to the At Their Very Best album from 2023, but not as similar to the Live at Gorilla RSD release. It's important to mention that this pressing includes all the spoken and extended instrumental parts, unlike the 2023 live album. Similar to that release, it can get quite compressed at times, with noticeable inner groove distortion, especially on the first side, but it's not unbearable. This 132-minute album is still pushing the boundaries of its triple LP format. There's minimal clicks, pops, and surface noise throughout. The discs look great, in what's become the standard Dirty Hit clear vinyl. Another trend for The 1975's live albums is the absence of gatefolds! At least this time, there's large photography printed on each side of the three inner sleeves, which gives the release more character, even if a tri-fold design could have been more stunning and practical.
