I noticed that both discs in my set were a bit bent, has this happened to anyone else's too?
fantastic pressing. even more stunning in person, so glad i managed to snag a copy!!
Opting for a 2LP at 33 rpm was a peculiar decision, as it could've easily fit on a single disc or a 2LP with an etched D side, or even at 45rpm like 'Devotion' and 'Bloom'. Despite this, the pressing sounds gorgeous, incredibly dynamic, warm, and rich, almost reminiscent of an analog sound. It's worth mentioning that when I first played my copy, it sounded quite fuzzy and distorted, especially on 'Silver Soul', but the next time I played it, it sounded just fine. I'm not sure if it's an issue with my copy, all pressings, or my setup, but it sounds absolutely magnificent now. Apart from one REALLY loud pop in 'Better Times', the background is very quiet with minimal surface noise. The discs aren't perfectly flat, but I wouldn't call them warped either. The packaging is pretty cool; it's made of thick, sturdy material, and I love the insert. The gatefold is also really pretty, and I think the retro pink and blue labels on the discs are adorable. I'm very happy with this pressing. One of the best sounding records I own.
Overall, a good pressing, but I do pick up a bit of noise in spots on my copy.
absolutely stunning in both appearance and sound, UO has truly outdone themselves with these beach house represses
