Whether a review is positive, negative, or neutral, we always publish it. However, we screen every review to ensure it is authentic and free of profanity. These checks happen automatically, though a human occasionally steps in. We never pay for reviews.
This album is fantastic and the sound quality is top-notch. The piano on this one is way better than in most of RVG's work. It definitely warrants a reissue, in my opinion. It's clear that it was recorded on tape, so I hope those analog tapes are still around. If they are, we might get a reissue straight from the tapes, since this original release was digitally mastered. But even with that, it sounds incredible. It's a beautifully mastered digital version and I couldn't tell it apart from other Blue Note albums from '66 that were recorded and released back then. To my ears, it sounds just as good as those.
