This is absolutely one of the top, if not the top, vmp Nina Simone releases. Ryan K Smith has done it again with an excellent cut. The only tiny issue is that the jacket's image of Simone and the stereo font on the front are a bit fuzzy and blurry, but that's my only complaint.
The number 8 is printed on the lower left corner of the back of my sleeve.
This record is absolutely phenomenal. It might just be the best sounding one in my collection. You genuinely feel like you're right there in the room with her. Nina's voice is just so powerful, it's like it's tearing me apart.
This is an excellent edition. The sound stage is fantastic, deep and very clear. I'm just disappointed that the voice isn't well centered and is placed too much on the left. Apart from that, the piano is vibrant and the voice is clear. The vinyl itself is perfectly flat and quiet, and the cover presentation is top-notch. I'm very pleased with this release.
#470 here. Had to spend some cash but ... absolutely worth it. The orchestra sounds so smooth yet authentic, and her voice is right up front, personal, emotive, and strong. The piano on Love 'O Love ... rich, full, and crisp. Sleeve is on nice thick card aswell.
