Whether a review is positive, negative, or neutral, we always publish it. However, we screen every review to ensure it is authentic and free of profanity. These checks happen automatically, though a human occasionally steps in. We never pay for reviews.
The 2xLP reissue of Red prompted me to revisit this part of Magnus's discography, which turned out to be a delightful trip down memory lane. I've always felt that the RGB compilations didn't quite hit the mark like his main artist albums. These compilations gathered tracks from various soundtracks, unfinished pieces, and other sources, leading some to think they were a bit disjointed and not as cohesive as his classic albums. However, giving Red another spin on this fantastic vinyl version shifted my perspective. It now feels more like a proper artist album, captivating from beginning to end - nothing seems out of place, random, or unplanned. As for the vinyl itself, it's a super clean pressing, no issues to report, and the gatefold cover is really nice and thick with quality printing. Solar Field music is meant for vinyl, in my opinion, and it's been a joy collecting these Sidereal pressings to re-experience Magnus's unique sound tapestry in analog format.
