The pressing is quite good. I'm not too keen on the stereo mix, but I do love colored vinyl, so I decided to give it a try. Overall, it's a solid record.
Rhino's 2023 mono vinyl release for the 75th Atlantic Anniversary, Netherlands edition, bought from Amazon US. The record plays smooth and super quiet with my AT33mono stylus. Sound quality is great, no hiss or skips. Zero bass distortion or rumble through my 3-way floorstanding speakers. Really pleased with this buy!
The pressing is pretty decent, but the bass drum in 'I've been loving you...' is overly loud, causing an annoying rumble from the speakers. /EDIT to reply comment: It doesn't matter what speakers I use. There's no rumble at all on the digital copy.
This album is fantastic! However, the mono version included in this set sounds awful and skips all over the place for me. The stereo version, though, sounds just great. Maybe it's just an issue with my specific copy, but it's definitely there. Fortunately, they included two copies of the album, one for each sound format. So, either way, I can listen to the album and enjoy the music!
Is there anyone who can verify the pressing facility for this record? Also, what year was this reissue originally pressed in, 2018?
