• McCartney II: Balanced but Restrained

  This particular release is genuinely quite impressive, although it does have a more "restrained" tone and lacks the "warmer" audio quality that my 1980 German version possesses (probably due to its digital mastering). However, it's still a fantastic listen, especially considering it's a newer release on exceptionally clean and quiet vinyl. I've noticed that the sound on this pressing is more centered and balanced compared to the German 1980 version. Everything sounds great and is well-mastered, so it ultimately comes down to personal preference regarding the type of sound you enjoy. I personally prefer the German 1980 version, with its warmer sound and more pronounced bass, but this 2017 Clear Vinyl pressing is no less impressive and offers a more balanced listening experience overall. Either way, McCartney II remains McCartney II; one of my favorite albums with such a unique sound and feel, unlike anything else I've ever heard, so you can't go wrong with either version. Perhaps I'll compare both of these pressings to an original Japanese pressing in the future? Addendum: I believe the "restrained" sound of this pressing is more due to its rather narrow soundstage than it being remastered and mixed digitally. After listening to both the Canadian and Dutch (in addition to the German) pressings of the album, I feel this one ranks the weakest, due to its more sterile sound and closed sound stage.

  I'm absolutely in love with this album... I own the original, and this copy just sounds fantastic next to it. My version was a bit dull and quiet, but this one is superb. It even came with a high-res 24/96 download, which is pretty rare these days. Back when it was released, vinyl was still making a comeback, and many pressings weren't up to par. I got lucky and scored an excellent copy.

  La calidad de la funda es francamente buena considerando que es un disco producido en Argentina. Las imágenes son bastante claras y con colores vibrantes. Además, en la contratapa (donde aparece la lista de temas) no se encuentran los nombres de las canciones traducidas al español, solo están en las etiquetas del vinilo. En cuanto al sonido, supera ampliamente las expectativas. Recordemos que los discos antiguos (Primera Edición) hechos en Argentina son extremadamente delgados, lo que conlleva una pérdida de calidad auditiva considerable. Sin embargo, a pesar de eso, este tiene una excelente ecualización y un volumen notable. Si se lo encuentran a un buen precio (y en buen estado, claro está) no duden en comprarlo. Vale cada centavo.

• McCartney's Adventurous Vinyl

  This isn't Paul McCartney's finest work, but it's certainly one of his more adventurous albums. The matrix numbers on my copy match this release. The vinyl quality is good, featuring a deep low end and a spacious, immersive sound. No 7" single came with my copy. The record plays smoothly, with some light surface noise on the first side, while the second side is almost completely silent.
