Fantastic display and, above all, flawless audio. This is a superb buy.
It's no surprise that the 2019 Stereolab reissues sound fantastic. Like INSANELY fantastic. I was anticipating more of the same when I purchased this album, placed it on the turntable, and lowered the needle. I was almost blown off my feet. I believe that out of all the incredible reissues, this one sounds the best. Unbelievably loud, crystal clear, and dead silent. Probably some of the best instrument separation and definition I’ve heard in a record, EVER. How they managed to make this one sound even better than the already mind-blowing other pressings in the series is beyond me. I think I just sat in complete shock for the first track. This pressing had me rethinking my love for this album and just where it stands in the phenomenal Stereolab discography. Oh, you think this album is just okay? I DARE you to spend 30 dollars on this reissue and watch your ears just about melt off. 10/10
Stereolab's album is absolutely fantastic. The sound quality is flawless, the remaster is captivating, with a broad soundstage and a deep, immersive audio experience. 5 stars without a doubt.
Who thought hard panning almost every track was a good idea? Needs a proper remix, honestly.
This is my third copy of this album, and every single one has had dropouts and noise in the left channel on track C1. It's definitely a problem with the pressing.
