Nothing but good things to say about this record. It was captured and pressed perfectly... and the playing is simply phenomenal. Chet was absolutely on fire during this time in his career. Not a single track on this LP falls short. I absolutely ADORE it in mono. I'm pretty confident this one will stay with me until my last day, then it'll probably end up at a thrift store when my kids have no clue about its value....hopefully some jazz nut will snag it and treasure it like I have all these years. hahaha. :)
I'm all about it when I notice tiny imperfections in the mastering: The heads on the master tape player were clearly 'glogged', causing some drop-outs and brief loss of HF on one side. Overall: this is a great pressing!
Found this gem in a dusty old local record shop. Probably not an analog remaster, but it sure sounds fantastic. Chet's playing is incredibly lively and full of energy.
The quality of this is really impressive, probably from a digital origin.
