In 2025, I grabbed this 180g reissue/repress of the 2015 mastering, priced as if it were still 2015 on Amaz...ca. I was on the hunt for the EU 2015 Back to Black pressing, which ended up being way cheaper than the current reissue. I'd previously picked up a 2015 NATTY DREAD and was impressed by its sound quality for a digital cut LP. So, I went ahead and got three more from this 2015 series to fill some gaps in my collection. They all sound amazing and are practically silent. Mine even came with a poster! I was hoping to spot the MASTERED AT CAPITOL stamp, but no luck this time. That said, the quality and sound quality are top-notch, so I'm not bothered by this variant. The same thing happened with my KAYA 2015 pressing (the shrink wrap actually said made in Poland - I was a bit worried, but it turned out fine, just like this one). Thick, nearly silent vinyl with a poly-lined inner sleeve. 4.5/5 (only docking half a point for not being AAA - usually, I'd take off a full point).
A timeless album ♥️And now it's a DOUBLE-ALBUM featuring both complete shows at the Lyceum, July 17 & 18, 1975.
I suppose this is reckoned one of the greatest live recordings of all time? As it truly exhibits Bob Marley brimming with that laid-back vibe, making each track simply perfect. It's a tough call to find a live album where a performance is more renowned than the studio version, but this is the "No Woman, No Cry" everyone remembers - brimming with introspection and nostalgia. The I-Threes are on point here, and so is the backing band. Absolutely top-notch!
I stumbled upon a VG-/VG- copy with some dings, but honestly, it sounds incredible, despite all the pops and crackles from its worn-out state, an awesome sound still shines through, it's like The Wailers are right there, jamming in front of you, and Bob's voice is crystal clear and powerful in this track.
Pretty decent. It's a solid look into Marley's era, I believe. The pressing is top-notch, and the sound is loud and clear.
