In my opinion, this was the top-tier installment in the King’s Disease trilogy, with both Esco and HitBoy at their absolute peak. It was a bit sweet and sour since I realize we won't be seeing many "classic era" drops like this moving forward. The genre just doesn't hold that space anymore, and I've got to accept that truth. As for this specific pressing, it was (mostly) flawless. The audio quality was pretty much on par with the lossless version I compared it to, which isn't always the case with newer hip-hop releases. Fortunately, everything came through crystal clear here. The pressing quality was good, though not entirely perfect, but the majority of the two discs played super quietly, with just a few "hot spots" here and there. And while I wouldn't say either disc was perfectly flat, neither had any major warping that needed a visit to my record flattener. I also really dig the splash mix of black and see-through red, which matches the album artwork perfectly. All in all, a fantastic pressing for an amazing project by the G.O.A.T.
This record sounds amazing, with just one minor issue - there's a constant "WTF SMH" throughout the whole song. It's not super noticeable, but you can definitely pick up on it. The sound quality is fantastic overall. The pressing is gorgeous too, with vibrant colors and sharp lines. The cover is excellent as well - it's thick, sturdy, and way better than your average jacket.
Fantastic quality pressing. It sounds amazing after a thorough clean. Go ahead and purchase without any hesitations.
The record's fire quality and amazing appearance... it sounds lit on the stereo
This whole album is absolutely incredible and this copy is so quiet. It sends shivers down my spine imagining him performing these songs at Madison Square Garden. I have to give a shoutout to the stunning color of this pressing. That red is incredibly vibrant and the black is flawless. This is truly a special edition.
