I've finally got my hands on this super hard-to-find re-release, and I couldn't be happier! After years of considering buying the original, the wait is finally over. The cover and inner sleeves are top-notch, but the outer cover is a bit wider, so it won't fit any tight protective cases. You'll have to slide the record in sideways. The inner artwork is classic Massive Attack stuff, not much text to see. The inner art booklet is a nice addition. The real standout here is the records themselves. They're pressed to perfection, clean, and sound absolutely amazing on my planer3. For $35 Canadian, it's a quality package.
Blown away by this one. The packaging and booklet aren't just top-notch, they're like a genuine piece of art you'd proudly display from a Del Naja show. Plus, the vinyl's sound quality is off the charts, letting me feel the haunting sorrow and gloom of the album in a way I'd never experienced. It's a true gem for my collection.
I'm not on the same page as you all. I did enjoy Atlas Air. I also enjoyed Girl I Love You, but the off-key horns at the end spoil it for me. I found the rest of the album quite dull. However, if you're into the more laid-back side of Massive Attack, I'd suggest giving it a listen. I prefer their more energetic tracks, and there aren't many of those here.
Incredible packaging and mastering job. The sound quality is simply outstanding. The way the sounds split and move around is utterly mesmerizing. Who's bothered about the jacket size or the lack of a download card? And I'm thrilled they spread it across 2 full discs. It would've sounded terrible all squished onto one disc. 10/10
The sound quality on this vinyl record is absolutely stunning, and the cover art is simply breathtaking. It's incredibly quiet with a wide range of dynamics. I could hug the mastering engineer right this second.
