Product Description

Oasis, the iconic British band, delivered a powerful punch of Britpop and Madchester vibes with their sixth studio album, "Don't Believe The Truth," released on May 30, 2005, under Big Brother Recordings Ltd. Clocking in at a concise 42 minutes, this album is a testament to the band's enduring musical prowess and their ability to craft memorable anthems.

Kicking off with the energetic "Turn Up The Sun," the album immediately sets a lively tone, showcasing Oasis's signature blend of catchy melodies and anthemic choruses. Tracks like "Lyla" and "The Importance Of Being Idle" highlight the band's knack for writing songs that are both radio-friendly and deeply rooted in their signature sound. Meanwhile, "Love Like A Bomb" and "The Meaning Of Soul" offer a glimpse into the band's more introspective side, proving that Oasis is not just about big riffs and sing-along choruses.

The album's standout track, "Guess God Thinks I'm Abel," is a masterclass in songwriting, combining a soaring melody with poignant lyrics that showcase the band's depth and maturity. The album closes with "Let There Be Love," a beautiful and uplifting track that leaves the listener on a high note.

"Don't Believe The Truth" is a testament to Oasis's enduring appeal and their ability to evolve while staying true to their roots. Whether you're a longtime fan or a newcomer to their music, this album is sure to leave a lasting impression.

This 2025 Reissue Special Edition LP is housed in a gatefold, pressed on 180g Black vinyl.

  • Classic Edition Superior Sound

    5 out of 5 stars
    Wop-exn-Wenu29 July 2025United States🇺🇸

If you're after the classic edition of Don’t Believe The Truth, this is the one—it's way superior to that UK/Euro Big Brother release. Sound is crisp, background noise is minimal. And it's still a steal!!

  • Awesome Album, Great Pressing

    5 out of 5 stars
    lhipmucu10 May 2025United States🇺🇸

Awesome album, fantastic pressing! It's not quite as «audiophile» as Dig out your soul's double 45, but it's still amazing

  • Rega RP1: Powerful Sound

    5 out of 5 stars
    dupibavechuq3 May 2025United States🇺🇸

Great version! Previously, a few tracks would skip, but with the Rega RP1, it's never occurred. The sound is incredibly powerful and the bass is fantastic. I own a Big Brother reissue, but it pales in comparison to this one. Highly recommend!

  • Disappointing Flat Album

    2 out of 5 stars
    xaxffwvso646913 January 2025United States🇺🇸

this is one of the times i've been most let down after buying an album. it's just... kinda .. flat

  • Vinyl Sounds Crisp, Clear

    5 out of 5 stars
    hihhuac14 September 2024United States🇺🇸

This record spins beautifully on my turntable. You can really hear the finer points, like Gem's harmonica on "Mucky Fingers" and Andy's sparkling guitars on "Keep the Dream Alive," they just pop more on this one than the CD. And it's not as blastingly loud, so you can crank it up a bit more.
