Absolutely fantastic! Sam Records nails it once more. Thanks a ton, Fred. Truly outstanding. If you're a fan of Donald Byrd, both this and “Byrd in Paris Vol. 2: Parisian Thoroughfare” are must-haves. As Chad Kassum puts it, “Grab ‘em now, or regret it later!” These limited edition albums from this solo label won't be around forever.
Gorgeous from every angle. Vinyl is smooth, spotless, and perfectly aligned. Fantastic remaster that keeps all the original charm. Top-notch release.
This album is absolutely incredible. It's a live recording from '58 that makes my living room feel like a tiny jazz club. First Sam record I've owned, but definitely won't be my last one!
