Chris Bellman's album sounds great, way better than the CD version!
This is genuinely a pop triumph. Simply a collection of fantastic pop tunes adorned with a hint of 2000's emo flair (but not overdone).
Honestly, ignore the haters, this album is incredibly well crafted. I'm not even a huge Jimmy Eat World fan, but I got hooked on it via Spotify and knew it had to be in my collection. No one's mentioned the high-quality anti-static sleeve or the amazing artwork. Most of my records are either new pressings or old ones that are unplayable. This one's mixed perfectly, guitars sound great, though it could use a bit more bass and snare pop, which you can adjust with your setup. No gaps between tracks, no noise, pops, or clicks. It's probably the best vinyl I own. Glad I grabbed it, it's a solid punk rock album from a seriously underrated band.
The quality of this pressing is not good. It lacks dynamics. Speakers: JBL L112 Cartridge: Ortofon 2M Blue Turntable: Technics SL-1210 MK5 Amplifier: Yamaha R-S202 (planning to upgrade it soon)
Among my all-time favorite albums, this one truly stands out. It's a complete masterpiece from beginning to end. I stumbled upon it in a record store more than a decade ago, still on the shelves long after its release, and I didn't think twice about grabbing it. At just $50, it was an absolute bargain compared to the ridiculous prices you see now for Record Store Day releases. There's no doubt in my mind that if this album had dropped this year, it would've been well over $100. But enough about that, the music itself is incredible. The mastering is just out of this world to me. So if you're planning to buy this on vinyl, do yourself a favor and get this version if you can find it.
