Adore August. That stretch of 80's albums, from Behind The Sun to August to Journeyman, is way better than a lot of fans - and even Eric - seem to think. Fantastic pressing!
Phil Collins showcases his incredible PRODUCTION talents on this album, with outstanding arrangements and a unique aesthetic that truly shines. His drumming, as usual, takes everything to another level...Wow...and every single song is fantastic, with Clapton delivering an amazing performance (despite what the "critics" might say). This isn't just one of my top Clapton albums, it's also my favorite Collins production and one of my all-time favorite albums. 10/10, no doubt about it!
Awesome album! I reckon Clapton had a blast making this one, especially with Phil Collins around to lend a hand. I'm really into their team-ups. The pressing quality is top-notch! Definitely give it a listen!
Incredible album, brought to you by the legendary PHIL COLLINS. His drumming, arranging, and production truly shine on this record. The rest of the band is packed with studio legends Greg Phillingaines & Nathan East. The songs are top-notch, and the playing is exceptional throughout. If you're looking to get this one, go for the 1986 CD version. Steer clear of later remasterings, as they're heavily compressed and lack dynamics.
