Product description

Slayer's Undisputed Attitude, released on 1 January 1996 through American Recordings Catalog P&D, is a high-octane, 33-minute thrill ride that embodies the very essence of thrash metal. This relentless album is a masterclass in aggressive musicianship, with Slayer's signature sound weaving together elements of speed metal, heavy metal, groove metal, and death metal to create a truly unforgettable listening experience.

Throughout the album's 14 tracks, including Disintegration/Free Money, Verbal Abuse/Leeches, and Abolish Government/Superficial Love, Slayer's unbridled energy and intensity are on full display. The band's ability to craft songs that are both ferociously heavy and infectiously catchy is a hallmark of their sound, and Undisputed Attitude is no exception. From the furious pace of Can't Stand You and Ddamm to the more experimental moments of Guilty Of Being White and I Hate You, Slayer's commitment to their craft is unwavering.

With Undisputed Attitude, Slayer cement their reputation as one of the most influential and innovative metal bands of all time. This album is a must-listen for fans of the genre, and its influence can still be felt today. So, immerse yourself in the unrelenting fury of Slayer's Undisputed Attitude and discover why this album remains a seminal work in the thrash metal canon.

  • Missing Slayer Vinyl Music

I'm confused, where did the music on this vinyl go? It was here forever, now it's vanished. Around 2010-11, before all the Slayer albums were re-released in the US with those weird blood-colored copies. What's going on?

  • Distorted Final Tracks Bummer

In this version, there's a bunch of distortion in the final tracks on each side of the vinyl. It's such a bummer because I absolutely adore this album, and the packaging is gorgeous. I'm really hoping they put out a double 12" version; that'd get rid of all the distortion in the last songs on each side.

This copy is pretty freakin' great. Barely any surface noise and it sounds real clear. I'd suggest grabbing one if you find a good deal.

  • Disc Labeling Oddity

My copy also lacks a number, but the initial disc is marked with two "B" labels. I haven't come across any other mention of this detail.

About Slayer

Slayer, the iconic American thrash metal band hailing from Huntington Park, California, was forged in 1981 by the formidable lineup of bassist/vocalist Tom Araya, guitarists Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman, and drummer Dave Lombardo. Renowned for their blistering speed and unrelenting aggression, Slayer quickly rose to prominence as one of the "big four" bands of thrash metal, standing shoulder to shoulder with Metallica, Megadeth, and Anthrax. Their music, a potent blend of thrash, speed, and heavy metal influences, has left an indelible mark on the genre. Over the years, Slayer's lineup has evolved, with current members including Araya, King, drummer Paul Bostaph, and guitarist Gary Holt, who joined permanently after Hanneman's passing in 2013. With a discography that spans decades and a live performance that is nothing short of intense, Slayer continues to be a powerhouse in the metal world, captivating fans with their raw energy and uncompromising sound.
