In my opinion, the vinyl pressing seems to have a distinct mastering compared to the digital version, which is quite pleasant, but the fifth tracks on the records are really struggling and sound muffled. The packaging is quite basic but for the price, it's acceptable!
Initially, I gave this album a perfect 5-star rating because it seemed like such a well-crafted piece, with an outstanding pressing. The quality was evident right away, and I was genuinely impressed. But after spending more time with it, I started to pick up on something that just didn’t feel quite right. Having first heard this album on CD when it came out, I remembered a certain crispness and clarity to the sound. However, the vinyl version felt a bit more muted in comparison. So, I streamed a few tracks and compared them directly. Indeed, the vinyl sounded a bit more muffled, especially when stacked up against the original CD or digital versions. Let me clarify—I’m not saying this isn’t a great pressing. The music itself is fantastic, and the mix is rich, making the album still shine overall. The slight muffling isn’t enough to make me regret buying this pressing, but it does make it feel a little less sharp than other versions I’ve experienced. Because of this, I’d adjust my rating to a strong 4.5 stars. It’s still a wonderful album, and the pressing is definitely worth it for collectors or anyone who wants to enjoy the music on vinyl. Just be aware that it’s not as clear as I’d hoped, but the overall experience is still very satisfying.
Pas de bruits ni de pops sur ce pressage. Personnellement, je le trouve supérieur à celui de 2016.
The records look quite decent (there are some scuffs), the packaging and print are fine (the image clarity could be better), the inner sleeves are just regular paper, but the sound is dreadful. The main issue is the constant noise in the right channel. You can listen to it, but it's really unpleasant, or I should say, quite uncomfortable.
My version lacks surface noise, but the pressing is quite disappointing. It sounds very flat and dull. If they had done 12 minutes per side, it would probably sound better.
