Controversial opinion: this album is among Sia’s finest works and it’s bound to gain a dedicated fanbase. Similar to Britney Spears’ “Blackout,” it’s an artist breaking free from limitations and norms, going all out. The vinyl with glow-in-the-dark effect has a subtle hiss that’s only heard during quiet moments. Debating whether I can tolerate this, as the production is so intricate, it’d be great to fully immerse myself without any distractions.
This album is truly terrible. Although the tracks are typically brief, the sound quality is lacking, and it deteriorates as you move towards the middle. 'Incredible' was just plain bad. They ought to have trimmed some songs, as there are numerous skips in my view, or simply released it as a 2LP. I doubt I'll ever listen to this again.
Fantastic album! It's truly a pleasant surprise that this album wasn't heavily promoted. The quality of the purple vinyl pressing is quite impressive. Thanks, Sia, for another hidden treasure.
