Absolutely stunning sounding album. Certainly up there with reference quality. Fantastic album too. It's a shame it doesn't get the attention it deserves.
This track probably has the same creator as The Soul Cages, seeing as the arrangement is quite alike to that 1998 album.
Absolutely incredible, must be that Q sound thing. In my opinion, it's the finest track Sting's ever done solo. The cover's a bit flimsy and there's no inner sleeve, but who cares when the music's this fantastic. Highly recommend it.
Wow, the audio quality on this album is phenomenal and it's easily one of my top picks from Sting. It's also one of the best sounding 33 rpm records I own, which is quite an achievement! That Q Sound technology really delivers. I remember buying the CD when it first released and I'm thrilled to now have this pristine original UK vinyl pressing as well. The mastering is fantastic, offering a more personal and natural sound compared to the original CD.
I'm giving stars for the experience, not the audiophile 'flaw.' A go-to track from the 90s, and I'm all about the vibe of this album. For me, Sting shines brightest when he's pouring out grief, worry, or gloom. He's at his peak here; this is a stunning, timeless homage to his folks.
