Fantastic pressing and mastering job. The vinyl sounds absolutely amazing. There's a few pops on track three, but apart from that, it's flawless.
Grabbed a copy from Barnes and Noble last time I was there, complete with that special Barnes and Noble sticker. The packaging and disc look stunning. The sound quality on my copy is excellent, with great dynamics and warmth, just what you'd expect from a Sting album. There's a bit of surface noise between songs, but it's not noticeable while the tracks are playing. I had one skip on side 2, but that's likely just some dust that should come off with a good cleaning. As for the music, I find this album quite intriguing. Sting switches up the instruments enough to keep things engaging. His voice sounds quite different on this one; he's definitely evolved his singing style. All in all, I'd recommend this release.
My version is hushed, nothing to complain about. Neat liner notes insert. At the time I bought it, it was going for ridiculously low prices and seems to be the same now. The music, it's not all things under the sun or blue turtles but it's classic Sting and definitely a worthy listen. Highly recommend.
Wow! The recording is spot on! Vinyl with no hiss! Sting did an amazing job!
Inner sleeves are just paper, outer ones seem low-quality. Claims it's 180g, but not for mine. Sound is CD-level, kinda muffled. Discs have a slight warp. Audio's flat, bass is overdone (no reason), highs are barely there. 🤷🏻♂️
