The Revolution Starts Now - Steve Earle

Product description

Steve Earle's "The Revolution Starts Now" is a powerful and politically charged album that blends the raw energy of alt-country and outlaw country with the storytelling tradition of Americana and country rock. Released on August 24, 2004, under Warner Records, this 39-minute collection of tracks is a testament to Earle's unapologetic approach to songwriting and his ability to tackle social and political issues head-on.

From the opening track "The Revolution Starts..." to the closing anthem "The Revolution Starts Now," Earle takes listeners on a journey through his perspective on war, politics, and personal struggles. Songs like "Rich Man's War" and "Warrior" delve into the complexities of military conflict, while "Condi, Condi" and "F the CC" offer sharp commentary on political figures and institutions. Earle's signature storytelling shines through in tracks like "The Gringo's Tale" and "I Thought You Should Know," where personal narratives intersect with broader social themes.

With its gritty production and Earle's distinctive voice, "The Revolution Starts Now" is a compelling listen for fans of country music that dares to challenge the status quo. The album showcases Earle's ability to craft songs that are both deeply personal and universally resonant, making it a standout addition to his discography.

This is a 2017 Reissue released as a LP.

Great sounding album so much better than the original CD! HUGE powerful bass but not overpowering detail in the midrange. Has a deep 3D soundstage. Strident vocals. I’m falling in love with this album all over again. [Tech specs in my profile]
