Product description

Radiohead's eighth studio album, The King of Limbs, is a masterfully crafted collection of eight tracks that showcase the band's unique blend of electronic and experimental rock. Released on 18 February 2011, this 37-minute album is a concise yet powerful exploration of sound, featuring lush electronics, intricate percussion, and cryptic lyrics sung in a haunting, prayer-like daze.

From the opening notes of 'Bloom' to the closing strains of 'Separator', The King of Limbs takes the listener on a sonic journey through a world of complex rhythms and textures. With tracks like 'Morning Mr Magpie', 'Little By Little', and 'Lotus Flower', Radiohead demonstrates their ability to craft songs that are both intimate and expansive, with a depth and nuance that rewards repeated listening.

Throughout the album, the band's signature sound is evident, with Colin Greenwood's bass, Jonny Greenwood's guitar and electronic effects, Ed O'Brien's guitar and backing vocals, Philip Selway's drums and percussion, and Thom Yorke's vocals and guitar all combining to create a rich and immersive soundscapes. The King of Limbs is a testament to Radiohead's innovative spirit and their continued push at the boundaries of rock music. Released through XL Recordings, this album is a must-listen for fans of art rock and alternative rock, and a powerful addition to Radiohead's already impressive discography.

  • Radiohead's B-Side Triumph

    4 out of 5 stars
    Eseb_IJanuary 3, 2026United States🇺🇸

This Radiohead album was quite a peculiar listen for me. I was left feeling somewhat disappointed by the A-side. The songs were up to par with their typical musical prowess and that signature Radiohead touch, but none of them really stuck with me or felt particularly engaging. However, the B-side completely won me over, kicking off with the outstanding "Lotus Flower", followed by the enchanting "Codex", the delightfully folksy "Give Up The Ghost", and wrapping up with the understated yet captivating "Separator", which features some superb intricate guitar work in the background. It's not often that I'm so split on the two halves of an album. Thankfully, I still find the A-side enjoyable to listen to. As a devoted Radiohead fan, "enjoyable" is praise enough in my book. But the B-side truly knocks it out of the park.

Awesome record! My top song 'Codex' has a few crackles at the start but overall, the pressing is crisp and full of life.

  • Fantastic Vinyl Sound Quality

    vihpoftDecember 18, 2025United States🇺🇸

Having no other vinyl version to contrast with, I can confidently say this sounds fantastic straight from the box. It's crisp and clear, with zero surface noise. Absolutely perfect.

  • Flawed but Beautiful Art

The art is truly amazing, but I got a loud copy that messes up the quiet scenes.
