Born Michael Lee Curran in London, Jakko M. Jakszyk is a versatile British musician, singer, songwriter, and record producer who has made a significant mark in the world of progressive rock. Known for his dynamic vocals and skilled guitar work, Jakszyk has had a prolific career both as a solo artist and as a member of various influential bands. He is perhaps best recognized for his tenure as the lead singer and second guitarist of the legendary progressive rock band King Crimson, a role he held from 2013 to 2021, succeeding Adrian Belew.

Jakszyk's musical journey is marked by collaborations with notable artists such as Dave Stewart, Peter Blegvad, John Greaves, and Pip Pyle, which have earned him an honorary status within the progressive rock community. His solo work is equally impressive, with albums that delve into complex themes and showcase his multi-instrumental talents. His upcoming solo album, "Son of Glen," set for release in June 2025, is a deeply personal project that explores topics such as obsession, betrayal, and family history, and features contributions from his son Django Jakszyk and other esteemed musicians.
