Product description

Dive into the captivating world of Arcade Fire's fourth studio album, "Reflektor," released on October 28, 2013, under Sony Music CG. This indie rock and baroque pop masterpiece spans 13 tracks and over an hour and fifteen minutes of immersive soundscapes. Co-produced by the legendary James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem, "Reflektor" is a testament to Arcade Fire's evolving artistry and their ability to blend intricate instrumentation with deeply resonant lyrics.

The album opens with its titular track, "Reflektor," setting the stage for a journey that is both introspective and expansive. Songs like "We Exist" and "Flashbulb Eyes" showcase the band's knack for crafting anthems that are both personal and universal. "Here Comes the Night Time" and its sequel, "Here Comes the Night Time II," delve into themes of anxiety and paranoia, offering a raw and unfiltered look into the human condition. The album's closer, "Supersymmetry," leaves listeners with a sense of awe and wonder, encapsulating the band's ability to blend the profound with the poetic.

Recorded in various studios across Montreal, Jamaica, and Louisiana, "Reflektor" is a sonic tapestry that reflects the diverse influences and experiences of its creators. The album's cover, featuring a Rodin sculpture, hints at the depth and complexity of the music within. Whether you're a longtime fan of Arcade Fire or a newcomer to their sound, "Reflektor" is an album that demands to be heard and felt.

This 2018 Reissue 2LP set is pressed on 180g vinyl.

  • Vinyl Art Triumphs

I wouldn't call this 'terrible and distorted', perhaps it might have benefited from a tad more mastering, and the highs are a bit pronounced, but compared to the bass-heavy cd/flac version, the vinyl sounds superior. It's a visual treat as well. The artwork and typography are stunning. The price is a bit steep for a mass-produced item, I concur, but you're getting a lovely piece of vinyl art. In my opinion. (For what it's worth: I'm using a Music Hall MMF 7.1 turntable with Goldring Eroica H cartridge, Marantz PM8003 AMP and Phonar P4 EDMA speakers.)

I wouldn't call this 'terrible and distorted', perhaps it might have benefited from a bit more mastering and the highs are a tad too prominent, but compared to the bass-heavy cd/flac version, the vinyl version sounds superior. It looks fantastic as well. The artwork and typography are gorgeous. The price is a bit steep for a mass-produced item, I concur, but what you receive is a lovely piece of vinyl artwork. IMHO. (Just so you know: I'm using a Music Hall MMF 7.1 turntable with Goldring Eroica H cartridge, Marantz PM8003 AMP and Phonar P4 EDMA speakers.)

I'm absolutely in love with Neon Bible ... It's all about the time, the history, and Glastonbury, but Reflektor is on a whole other level.

Just got my hands on this fresh copy, still with the same barcode, over at Criminal Records in Atlanta. Picked it up new for $28.

About Arcade Fire

Arcade Fire, the acclaimed Canadian indie rock band hailing from Montreal, Quebec, is known for their eclectic musical influences and philosophically rich albums. Fronted by the husband-and-wife duo Win Butler and Régine Chassagne, the band also includes Richard Reed Parry, Tim Kingsbury, and Jeremy Gara, with a touring lineup that features former core member Sarah Neufeld and multi-instrumentalists Paul Beaubrun and Dan Boeckner. Each of their studio albums benefits from the contributions of composer and violinist Owen Pallett, adding a layer of depth to their already expansive sound. Arcade Fire's discography is celebrated for its critical acclaim and awards, notably for "The Suburbs" (2010). Their latest album, "Pink Elephant," is set to release on May 9, marking their return after a period of hiatus. Fans can look forward to their signature blend of indie rock and baroque pop, which continues to captivate audiences worldwide.
